Morocco shined confidently as they brutally thrash the Central African Republic 5-1 on Saturday, October 12, at the Stade d’Honneur in Morocco. The team sniffed away chances to shine from the Central African Republic throughout as they dominated the third round of the AFCON qualifying game.

Morocco recorded its first lead when Abdel Samad Ezzalzouli scored in the 18th minute when he converted a rebound from captain Achraf Hakimi’s cross that was deflected by the opposition’s goalkeeper.

Azzedine Ounahi played a brilliant shot from outside the box in the 38th minute to increase Morocco’s game to 2-0. While the fans were still in a happy mood, Ounahi scored another goal to put Morocco in three after an assist from Ezzalzouli.

Skipper Achraf Hakimi gave his side another goal before the end of the first half, scoring in the 45th minute after a beautiful assist from Ounahi.

Soufiane Rahimi scored the last goal for Morocco through a penalty kick in the 17th minute, while their goalkeeper was substituted for a hamstring injury and replaced by Munir El Kajoui of Renaissance Berkane.
