Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is now at Crystal Palace, after both teams signed an agreement on a season-long loan contract.
Permission was granted to Trevoh Chalobah, who is now 25 years old, to leave the club after he was not taken along for Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States.
The defender was also left out in Enzo Maresca’s squads for all of the team’s four matches this season that just started.
His move to Crystal Palace was let out on Saturday morning while the transfer was finalized before the transfer window ended at 11 p.m. BST on Friday night.
He also played only in 17 games of all the matches for the club last season under Mauricio Pochettino, having played his first game for the club under former coach Thomas Tuchel in 2021.
There is hope that he could form a center-back partnership with Marc Guehi, who did not leave Crystal Palace this summer despite the interest that Newcastle United has in acquiring him.
Chalobah was one of its four Chelsea released to leave the club on season-long loan deals on Friday.
Former Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling has also been released by Chelsea to Arsenal; Serbian goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic was allowed to join Strasbourg; and Everton took striker Armando Broja.
