Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag remains optimistic beyond current odds that his team will soon boast of practice results despite a poor start to the new Premier League season.
Man. U. has only won two of its five games since the season began and currently sits in 11th position in the Premier League after an embarrassing draw that ended with no goal on the side of the team and its opponent, Crystal Palace.
However, the United Coach believes that his side’s performances will definitely translate into better results.
Ten Hag, who reflected on the game, emphasized that since the season began, the team has kept on with solid goals, but the results are not complimentary to their efforts. He stays confident, however, that with the rate of play that they are making, goals and points will come as the season proceeds.
He also noted that this squad this season cannot be compared to last season in terms of standard, as this squad is better. He also posited that having more players who have returned to training has allowed the team to work on consistency, which assisted in building both patterns and routines.
This has helped the club to take greater control and take over matches, particularly in the first half of games.
The club will now place its focus on the upcoming Europa League game against the Dutch side Twente at the Old Trafford on Wednesday, September 25.
