Chappell Roan had a clash with a photographer at the recent 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. While she was set for pictures on the red carpet, a photographer yelled, “Shut the f— up.”

Roan did not wait to point back at the photographer and gave a response, “You shut the f— up,” adding, “Don’t! Not me, b—-!” She got support from the crowd as a voice joined shouting, “Tell ‘em, girl!”

Roan later explained what happened, saying that the situation was too burdensome. “For someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling, the carpet is horrifying,” she mentioned to Entertainment Tonight. “You don’t get to yell at me like that.”

Roan appeared on the red carpet in a sheer maroon dress with a medieval-inspired look, long pointy nails, complete with a sword, a light green cloak, and a large cross necklace.

Roan won the award for Best New Artist as she performed her hit single “Good Luck, Babe!” at the VMAs.

The clash that occurred on the red carpet is a follow-up of accusations from some fans that the celebrity is stalking, harassing, and has “predatory behavior,” which she posted on her social media pages to depict the negative experiences that she encounters from fans being a rising singer.
