Stephen Nedoroscik, an American gymnast widely known as “Pommel Horse Guy,” received his second medal of the Paris 2024 Olympics on Saturday by getting a bronze in the pommel horse event.

The American athlete received a bronze in the pommel horse event, adding to his impressive achievements at the Games.

The American gymnast hit 15.300 points, making him come in third on the podium. On the podium were two-time world champion Rhys McClenaghan, who won gold by coming first and securing Ireland’s first Olympic gymnastics medal, and Nariman Kurbanov of Kazakhstan, who earned a silver medal with 15.433 points for coming second.

McClenaghan had to choke back tears even before his name was announced. He shouted in delight and cried when his winning score of 15.533 points was made public.

Nedoroscik helped the U.S. men secure a bronze in the team final earlier this week, marking its first Olympic medal in 16 years. His outstanding performance in that event made him a viral sensation.
