Skai Jackson was taken into custody after a domestic assault that involved her at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park on August 9, according to an August 13 statement released by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities, in an initial investigation, determined that she was the “primary aggressor” and arrested her for misdemeanor spousal battery.

Jackson, who is now 22 years old, was moved to the West Hollywood Station for booking and was let go a few hours later after her arrival at the station, as seen on public arrest records. Her bail was initially pegged at $20,000.

The Sheriff’s Department claimed that an investigation that it launched into Jackson’s misdemeanor is yet to stop and will be sent to the Van Nuys Superior Court House in Los Angeles for filing, after which she will have a legal case to battle.

Her current encounter did not stop her from being active on social media, even though the former Disney Channel celebrity has yet to address the incident. She posted a picture on her Instagram page on August 11 from the Variety Power of Young Hollywood event on August 8 with the caption, “Thank you, @variety.”

She is popularly known for her role as Zuri Ross on the Disney show Jessie, as well as its spin-off Bunk’d. Jackson equally competed in season 29 of Dancing With the Stars, where she ended up in 5th place in 2020.

Jackson and the cast try to stay in touch whenever possible, even though Jessie ended in 2015.
