American singer Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey who tied the knot in 2018 have announced the birth of their first child on August 23, 2024.
“WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,” Justin wrote in an Instagram post. Hailey posted the same photo to her Instagram Stories soon afterward with the child’s name, a teddy bear, and a blue heart emoji.
Immediately after the post, Pattie Mallette, Justin’s mom, tweeted, “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!”
Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s dad, shared Mallette’s tweet, adding: “Amen, Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”
The celebrity couple first announced they were expecting their first child on Instagram back in May. A representative for Hailey at that time said the model was just over six months pregnant.
In the video from their vow renewal, Hailey wore a long, lacy white dress and a veil, showing her growing bump. She also included a few photos, standing with Justin in a field, with his arms placed around her belly.
The couple tied the knot in September 2018 in a New York City courthouse just two months after getting engaged.
They later celebrated with a larger ceremony in front of family and friends, exchanging vows and Tiffany wedding bands as the sun set in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Justin has long said that he wants to start a family with Hailey but noted in a December 2020 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, that he would also want to respect her wish.
“I am going to have as many [babies] as Hailey is wishing to push out. I’d love to have myself a little tribe,” the “Baby” singer said at the time. “But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do. … I think she wants to have a few.”
