Video: Frontier Flight Deboarded After Woman Seating On Exit Row Wants No Involvement On Instructions Operating The Emergency Door & Saving People

A woman’s refusal to heed the instructions of a Frontier Airline flight attendant for seating by the plane’s emergency exit door led to the entire passengers being deboarded and the woman herself being arrested at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.

The incident happened after the passenger said she would not assist in saving anyone but herself, in the event of an emergency, and yelled at the flight attendant who was speaking to her on what was required of passengers occupying the front rows of the plane’s exit in the event of an emergency.

The woman refused to get off the plane citing she had to get to her grandson who was getting out of school in Texas and at a point, got her phone to call her attorney. This continued after the intervention of the pilot, another staff and other passengers of the flight, until the arrival of the police.

The passengers were eventually asked to deboard the plane while she was arrested and led by handcuffs into a police car.

According to standard protocol before takeoff, flight attendants always ask passengers sitting in emergency exit rows if they are willing and able to operate the exit door in the event of an emergency during the flight.
