The authorities in Dallas were previously searching for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection with a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Saturday evening. According to reports from the Dallas Morning News, a vehicle believed to be registered or leased to Rice was involved in the six-car accident.

Preliminary investigations by the Dallas Police Department indicate that two drivers, one in a Chevrolet Corvette and another in a Lamborghini, were speeding in the far left lane when they lost control of their vehicles.

The Lamborghini struck the center median wall, triggering a chain reaction that involved four other cars. In total, six vehicles were involved in the crash.

While the details are still emerging, the police call sheet lists Rice as the suspected driver of the Corvette. However, it is currently unknown if the 23-year-old was present at the scene or if he is facing any charges related to the accident.

Rashee Rice, a Texas native who attended SMU and was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has retained legal counsel. His attorney, Royce West, released a statement saying that Rice’s thoughts are with those impacted by the accident and that he is cooperating with local authorities to address the situation responsibly.

TMZ reported that the NFL has also acknowledged that it is monitoring the situation involving one of its young stars.
