Daniel Gómez del Barrio was a councilor with the governing Socialist left-wing Party of Castilla-La Mancha and was forced resign his position as head of the Department of Youth, Children, and Family, on the orders of the local Mayor José Manuel Tofiño.

Gómez del Barrio had his sex videos on hardcore pornography sites where he indicated that he was willing to: be exposed, humiliated, degraded, be used online and in real life, be used as a urinal, etc. He also exposed his national identity document (DNI) and his personal telephone number.
The people of Toledo condemned Daniel Gómez del Barrio’s leaked sex video, saying it in no way represents them. Calls across social media all stood for his immediate resignation, with the party’s reputation subject to mockery.
