Responding to a query from CNN regarding the reported raids on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ residences, the Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) confirmed that, as part of an ongoing investigation, they, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, had carried out “law enforcement actions.”
“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available,” the law enforcement department told CNN.
HSI, the primary investigative body of the US Department of Homeland Security, is tasked with probing transnational crimes and threats, including human trafficking.
The specific targets of these law enforcement actions, whether Combs or other occupants, have yet to be clarified.
Aerial footage of Combs’ Los Angeles residence depicted numerous armed law enforcement officers patrolling the property. Additionally, mobile command post vehicles were observed at both his LA and Miami homes, where agents were seen processing paperwork on makeshift tables. Given the expansive size of the properties, locating and processing evidence will require considerable time, as reported by CNN’s Josh Campbell.
CNN has sought comments from representatives of Combs regarding the matter.
Combs, aged 54, established the music label Bad Boy in 1993 and has been known by stage names such as Puff Daddy and Diddy. Recognized for his influential contributions to the hip-hop genre, Combs has garnered three Grammy Awards and received 14 nominations throughout his career. Beyond his musical endeavors, Combs has ventured into producing and entrepreneurship, further solidifying his impact on various industries.
