In a friendly match held in Marrakech, Morocco, Ghana’s Black Stars settled for a 2-2 draw against Uganda on Tuesday.
This outcome extends the Black Stars’ winless streak to seven games, comprising four draws and three defeats.
Otto Addo’s team entered Tuesday’s match following a 2-1 loss to Nigeria’s Super Eagles last Friday.
Ghana’s last victory dates back to November 2023, when they secured a narrow 1-0 win against Madagascar in the initial match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Jerome Opoku provided an early lead for the Black Stars in the seventh minute, assisted by Jordan Ayew.
Uganda leveled the score in the 23rd minute as Steven Mukwala successfully converted a penalty.
Ayew restored Ghana’s lead to 2-1 from the penalty spot in the 28th minute.
However, Uganda managed to equalize once again in the 82nd minute through Muhammad Shaban.
The Black Stars are scheduled to return to action in June, visiting Mali for the third match day of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
