The Dodgers unveiled their coaching staff for the 2024 Minor League season, appointing Travis Barbary (Oklahoma City), Scott Hennessey (Tulsa), Jair Fernandez (Great Lakes), John Shoemaker (Rancho Cucamonga), Juan Apodaca (Arizona Complex League Dodgers), Dunior Zerpa, and Leury Bonilla (Dominican Summer League Dodgers) as managers.

Five managers from the previous season return, with Jair Fernandez transitioning to lead the High-A affiliate at Great Lakes after managing the ACL Dodgers in 2023. New to the lineup are Apodaca and Bonilla, who will helm the ACL and DSL Dodgers respectively.

Apodaca, 37, brings his experience from nine minor league seasons, peaking at Triple-A in 2013 with the Durham Bulls. He accumulated a .250 batting average with 40 homers and 212 RBI. Bonilla, 39, embarks on his debut managerial season with the DSL Dodgers after an 11-year stint in the Minor Leagues, batting .256 with 42 homers and 284 RBI.

John Shoemaker enters his 30th season managing Dodgers Minor League teams, having transitioned from player to coach in 1981. In 2023, he received the Tommy Lasorda I Bleed Dodger Blue Award for embodying the passion and dedication synonymous with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers’ Minor League affiliates collectively achieved a remarkable .582 winning percentage (414–297) last season, the highest in baseball. Oklahoma City, Great Lakes, Rancho Cucamonga, ACL Dodgers, DSL Dodgers Bautista, and DSL Dodgers Mega all secured playoff berths, with Oklahoma City clinching the Pacific Coast League Championship and DSL Dodgers Bautista winning the Dominican Summer League title.

In 2023, several players made their Major League debuts for the Dodgers, including Michael Busch, Jonny DeLuca, Bryan Hudson, Kyle Hurt, Bobby Miller, Nick Robertson, Emmet Sheehan, and Gavin Stone. Six of these players were signed or drafted by the Dodgers, with James Outman finishing third in the National League Rookie of the Year Award voting after an impressive debut season.
