Kanye West has taken an unexpected turn from rap to heavy metal, unveiling new metallic dentures on his Instagram Story, reportedly valued at an impressive $850,000.
In a subsequent post, West drew a comparison between his distinctive dentures and the iconic James Bond villain Jaws, known for his metal-filled mouth.
According to reports, West’s natural teeth were purportedly replaced with custom-made titanium dentures crafted by renowned dentists Dr. Thomas Connelly and Naoki Hayashi, with Connelly clarifying that West’s natural teeth were not removed.
Despite the apparent pride West and Connelly take in their creation, social media users weren’t shy about trolling the Grammy winner for his unconventional dental choice.
This isn’t the first time West has ventured into dental aesthetics. In 2010, he claimed on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” that he replaced his bottom teeth with diamonds, citing a desire for a rock star aesthetic. However, he acknowledged the need for frequent dental maintenance.
West’s penchant for unique dental designs extends beyond himself; his son Saint displayed metallic Louis Vuitton logos on his teeth last June, while his ex-wife Kim Kardashian has previously embraced an opal and diamond grill.
