The Euro 2024 which would be hosted by Germany has seen many great European nations go head-to-head for a chance to hold the prestigious cup.
Euro 2024 will be the 17th edition of the European Championship and a total of 24 teams will be participating.
The qualification cycle began in March 2023 and concluded in November 2023. There are 20 automatic qualifiers, with two teams progressing from each qualification group.
Germany
Germany qualifies automatically and the remaining three places are decided by play-offs, with the best-placed teams from the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League, yet to qualify.
The hosts who have qualified for the 14th time have won the Euros three times – 1972, 1980 and 1996. They would be attempting to win it again after 28 years.
Spain
Spain has qualified for the tournament as Group A winners but they have yet to win a major tournament since 2012.
Scotland
Scotland finished as group A runners-up to seal their fourth qualification, after beating Spain, Norway, Georgia, and Cyprus.
France
France are group B winners and they have secured their qualification to add a third Euro Cup to their double collection.
Netherlands
Netherlands qualified as group B runners-up. They defeated the Republic of Ireland to secure their spot. They still have a game to play.
England
England secured their place at Euro 2024 with a big win over Italy at Wembley in October. They reached the final of the last championship and had to take a painful loss to Italy. They have yet to win a major trophy since 1966.
Turkey
Turkey who finished as Group C runners-up despite an early loss to Croatia have secured their place in the championship.
Albania
Albania qualified, securing a place in the top two of Group E with an impressive campaign. They would win the group if the defeat Faroe Islands today.
Belgium
Belgium were one of the first teams to book their place at Euro 2024, after defeating every other team in Group F.
Austria
Austria secured their place in the Euro Championship tournament after defeating Azerbaijan on Monday.
Hungary
Hungary has booked a place in the Euro 2024 contest after they finished as Group G winners.
Serbia
Serbia drew with Bulgaria to the final as Group G runners-up. They would be playing in the Euro Championship for the first time since 2000.
Denmark
Denmark defeated Slovenia 2-1 to secure their spot in the Euro tournament and they would be aiming to win the trophy for the first time in 32 years.
Romania
Romania would be facing Switzerland in their final qualifiers clash. Although their place in the tournament is guaranteed, both teams would go head-to-head to determine the group leaders.
Switzerland
If Switzerland fails to beat Romania in their final qualification fixture, they will be entering the Euro 2024 contest as Group I runners-up.
Portugal
Portugal was one of the first nations to secure their place in the European Championship after destroying every team in their group.
Slovakia
Slovakia are group J runners-up and they secured their place after defeating Iceland 4-2 on November 16.
