60 people were detained in conjunction with Friday’s pro-Palestinian demonstrations in NYC, including a Brooklyn woman accused of attacking a police officer, according to authorities.

“Sixty persons were taken into custody, the vast majority summonsed and released on disorderly conduct,” an NYPD spokesman said Saturday.

According to police, 57 summonses were issued in Brooklyn and 3 in Manhattan.

According to police, Jennifer Hansen, 32, of Brooklyn, was detained near the intersection of East 43 Street and 2nd Avenue in Midtown shortly before 6:30 p.m. after she disregarded orders to stop attempting to trip and kick passing cops.

After being taken into custody, Hansen reportedly fought with officers as they attempted to put her in a squad car after repeatedly kicking a lieutenant in the leg.

Apparently, Hansen “refused to lift her legs to step into the vehicle and repeatedly kicked an officer in the legs and wrapped her legs around the officer’s legs,” according to police. According to the authorities, she was accused of assault, disorderly conduct, assault, and resisting arrest. She was scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday afternoon.

According to police sources, local lawmakers were among the dozens of protesters calling for an end to the Israel-Hamas conflict who were detained outside New York Sen. Chuck Schumer’s Brooklyn residence on Friday night.
