Ronaldo Remains the G.O.A.T As Portugal Thrashes Bosnia

Christiano Ronaldo has proven himself time and time again in the frontline with his latest feet being a brace against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday.

He also became the top scorer in world football for 2023 after scoring his 40th goal of the year in the Euro 2024 match against Bosnia.

Portugal had already qualified for next year’s tournament in Germany after beating Slovakia at the weekend, but they were determined to go through unbeaten.

The first goal came early in the first half after Joaô Felix drew a handball and Ronaldo made no mistake, competing from the spot to put his side ahead.

He made it two in the 20th minute with a through ball from Felix which he dinked over the keeper.

The goal was initially ruled out for offside before a VAR check showed Ronaldo was onside.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes added a third goal in the 25th minute to extend Portugal’s lead with a perfect volley from a fairly tight angle.

Barcelona full-back Joao Cancelo made it four after Ronaldo missed a tap-in from Fernandes’s cross.

One supporter leaped over an advertising board and confronted Ronaldo while he was preparing to take a throw-in. He probably was a hater.

Security quickly intervened but footage shows Ronaldo appearing in discomfort before play resumes.

Felix added a goal to his beautiful timeline for Portugal in the match, sending Portugal his fifth goal with the outside of his right foot.
