In the Eastern Conference semifinals’ Game 1, the Indiana Pacers suffered a defeat at the hands of the New York Knicks.
Despite their franchise player’s struggles throughout the game, the Pacers came close to securing a victory.
Tyrese Haliburton, with just 6 shot attempts, recorded his second-lowest tally of the season and concluded the game with a mere 6 points. While tallying 8 assists, Haliburton displayed moments of hesitancy on offense.
Participating in his inaugural playoff series, Haliburton stressed the importance of a resilient comeback in Game 2.
Complicating matters, Haliburton is contending with back spasms, casting doubt on his availability for Game 2.
“At this time of year everybody’s got something going and he’s working at it, doing everything he can to keep himself feeling as good as possible,” Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. “I’m confident he’ll play, but it’s a concern.”
