Arsenal and Tottenham split the victory after a wild 2-2 tie at the Emirates Stadium. Son Heung-min and Bukayo Saka took center stage, with the latter scoring twice for the visitors and the former contributing a goal and an assist. Both teams have 14 points and are still unbeaten, but they are now four points behind Pep Guardiola’s unbeaten pacesetters, Manchester City.
Arsenal and Tottenham raced to a frantic 2-2 draw at the Emirates in the first north London derby of the season.
Cristian Romero’s own goal off of a Bukayo Saka shot gave Arsenal the lead. Prior to James Maddison’s outstanding performance setting up an equalizer for Son Heung-min just before halftime, Gabriel Jesus had a fantastic opportunity to increase the lead but missed it.
Early in the second half, Saka controversially converted a penalty to give Arsenal the lead back, but Spurs quickly equalized after Maddison robbed Jorginho to set up Son once more. Guglielmo Vicario did well to deflect a low shot from Saka around the post in stoppage time, and Richarlison, a substitute, came dangerously near to stealing a point at the other end.
For the 2023–24 Premier League season, no team has lost.
