Sandra Bullock’s partner, Bryan Randall, whom she met in 2015 and has been with ever since recently died after battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Taking to social media, his family made the announcement, saying:
“It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS.”
“Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.”
According to them, they were “immensely grateful” to the team of doctors and nurses who helped Randall over the years, “often sacrificing their own families to be with ours.”
“At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan,” the statement concluded.
Although they have been shipped for marriage by multiple fans and online in-laws who loved seeing them, Bullock had made it clear on multiple occasions that she was not going to rush any marriage.
In November of 2021, Bullock shared her decision not to remarry with Red Table Talk, after a very public breakup with Monster Garage” host Jesse James in 2010.
“I am someone who went through the divorce process. I found the love of my life.”
“We share two beautiful children — three children; he’s got his older daughter. It’s the best thing ever. I don’t want to say do it how I do it, but I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner and a devoted mother.”
In a March 2022 interview with “ET” as she was promoting “The Lost City,” Bullock disclosed that she planned to take a step back from acting.
