French superstar Kylian Mbappe would continue to play for PSG for the 2023/2024 football season after speculation that he was going to leave.
Maple was left out of the squad during its preseason tour of Japan, amid his ongoing transfer saga.
The Frenchman watched from the stands as his team drew 0-0 against Lorient in its first league game of the season on Saturday.
In a recent statement concerning the player, PSG said:
“Following very constructive, positive talks between PSG and Kylian Mbappé before the game vs. Lorient, the player has been reinstated into the first team training squad this morning.”
According to earlier reports, Mbappe was said to be unhappy at PSG which eventually led him to train away from the first team.
In July, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said that the club would not let the superstar leave for free and, as a result, PSG issued Mbappé with an ultimatum; sign a new contract or be sold.
Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal was ready to break the world record transfer fee and pay $332 million (€300 million) for the French striker. But the striker was not interested.
The proposed deal would reportedly have included a staggering $775 million salary packet.
There have been recent speculations about the French man moving to Real Madrid and according to reports, hw could have signed for the Spanish giants, but he rejected the move for a contract extension at PSG.
