Harry Kane could not make an impact on his debut for Bayern as they lost the German Super Cup to RB Leipzig in the finals.
Bayern Munich dominated 68 percent of possession in the Super Cup against RB Leipzig. They got 13 shots but only five were on target.
Dani Olmo crashed Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich debut, hitting a stunning hat-trick to earn RB Leipzig their first-ever German Super Cup.
Harry came on as a substitute in the 64th minute and by that time, Bayern were already two goals down.
Olmo put Leipzig in front in the third minute, silencing Bayern fans who were in high spirits. He fired a blazing shot from a failed clearance, after David Raum’s fantastic delivery into the box.
Olmo got his second of the night after driving into the penalty box, past Matthijs de Ligt and ex-teammate Konrad Laimer before sending the ball into the bottom corner.
A Noussair Mazraoui handball in the Bayern penalty area gave Olmo an opportunity for his third and he converted it, coolly.
And it largely fizzled out in the last 20 minutes, neither side willing to risk too much with the result decided.
