On Wednesday, I opened my Twitter app to check the latest on the social media space but was met with popular American streamer IShowSpeed being the viral topic with IShowMeat after he showed his manhood while broadcasting live on YouTube.
And yes, I was disgusted because I know that was not a mistake but a publicity stunt.
The video soon gained popularity, making the streamer the internet’s unflattering talk.
I took another moment to watch and analyze the video again. The content producer, Darren Watkins Jr., who goes by that name in real life, was trembling and shouting as usual while playing a video game.
But on this particular occasion, his shorts gaped, and he, “unintentionally,” exposed his penis.
Even though it was only visible for a few milliseconds in the stream, millions of people, just like me, including kids, saw the frame because it was photographed, saved, and shared all over.
Even other networks, like Twitter and TikTok, saw it, and it quickly became popular there as well.
The Ohio-born celebrity has gone viral before, and this time won’t be the last.
Other instances include the time he passed out during a live broadcast while attempting to alter his voice by swallowing a lot of helium, or when he finally got to meet Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon.
On the day that Argentine superstar Lionel Messi made his Inter Miami debut at the DRV PNK Stadium, another viral moment occurred when IShowSpeed released a video taken at the exact moment the forward scored his first goal, a fantastic free kick against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.
The video of the controversial content creator’s genitalia has already been viewed all over the world. Let’s see what he has to say about the ‘wardrobe malfunction’.
IShowSpeed’s leak now joins the list of YouTubers and content creators such as Rosanna Pansino that push the limits in their need to make viral videos and stay in the news.
I strongly believe it was an intentional act, and many people should not fall for such cheap trends. Also, strict measures should be in place on social media networks to ensure future streamers properly zip up.
