Casemiro, Rashford on target as Manchester United Thumps Lens

Casemiro, Rashford, and Antony were on target for Manchester United as they returned to Old Trafford for the final run of their pre-season games before the next season.

Before the match, Manchester United unveiled a new signing, Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta and there was a loud cheer for a new goalkeeper, Andre Onana.

The first had started with Manchester United creating more chances in the first 20 minutes. But in the 24th minute, Florian Soltoca fired in a wonder strike from half-field, catching new keeper Andre Onana off-guard and giving the visitors the lead.

Manchester United kept creating chances but they could not find the back of the net. At the end of the first half, they were trailing by one goal.

Only three minutes into the second half, Marcus Rashford leveled the game for the home team after racing onto Elanga’s through ball and firing a deflected shot over the Lens goalkeeper.

Just four minutes later, Antony put the Red Devils ahead after his assist for Rashford. He latched onto Garnacho’s cross and fired.

In the 58th minute, Rashford’s header deflected off Casemiro to give Manchester United their third goal. Both teams kept creating beautiful chances but could not convert any goal.

Onana also had some pretty saves towards the final minutes of the clash.
