Tori Kelly was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at a dinner in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.
According to TMZ, she was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital where doctors discovered blood clots in her legs and lungs.
30-year-old Tori Kelly was out to dinner with her friends when she passed out after saying that her heart was beating fast.
She is currently getting treatment in the ICU and is been checked for clots around her heart after slipping in and out of consciousness at the hospital.
The Grammy winner became rose to fame via YouTube and during her time competing on the ninth season of American Idol in 2010.
Tori Kelly won best gospel album at the Grammys for her sophomore album Hiding Place and best gospel performance/song for “Never Alone.”
Kelly signed to Epic Records earlier this year, and is managed by SB Projects, after which she released her first single with the label, “Missin U,” and its Y2K-inspired music video in March.
The release was her first new song since 2019’s Inspired by True Events and 2020’s A Tori Kelly Christmas.
In an interview with People, Kelly said she missed touring and was looking forward to it since past the Covid-era.
“I miss touring so much”, she said. I was actually on a world tour right as COVID was happening, and it was heartbreaking to have to cancel that”. “Since then, I haven’t been able to tour. That’s one of the most exciting things I’m looking forward to. I can’t give any details or anything yet, but I cannot wait just to see fans again and belt out these songs with them.”
She is also set to release her upcoming EP tori this week on July 28.
