For tonight’s drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot is set at $940 million. About $472 million would be the cash alternative.
The prize for tonight would be the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot won this year if it were won. A Maine resident scooped the $1.348 billion Mega Millions jackpot in January.
Since the jackpot was last won, 29 drawings have taken place. More than 23 million tickets have now received minor awards since that time.
In the drawing on July 21, a player from Michigan won $1 million.
The last Mega Millions jackpot to be won in Michigan was a $1.05 billion prize in January 2021 by an Oakland County lottery club. The jackpot was the biggest ever won in Michigan and ranked sixth in the history of the American lottery.
Up until 10:45 p.m. tonight, lottery stores in the state of Michigan will sell Mega Millions tickets. The Michigan Lottery website also offers the option to buy tickets.
