Kouri Richins- List Of Incriminating Search History Found In Phone Of Utah Woman Accused Of Killing Husband

33-year-old Kouri Richins was accused of killing her husband Eric Richins, by poisoning him with a lethal dose of fentanyl in March 2022.

She denied the murder, telling authorities she only made her husband a mixed vodka drink before finding him unresponsive hours later.

A judge called her a “substantial danger” to society when she appeared at a detention hearing on Monday, denied her bail and ordered her to remain behind bars.

A list of some of her alleged searches are:

  • what is a lethal dose of fentanyl
  • luxury prisons for the rich in America
  • death certificate says pending, will life insurance still pay
  • can cops force you to do a lie detector test
  • how to permanently delete information from an iPhone remotely

Her defense attorney Clayton Simms argued that she was only researching her case to see how evidence is processed, saying “there’s nothing there that indicates guilt”.

According to prosecutors, on 4 March 2022, Kouri Richins, a mother of three, who was arrested in May this year, called the police at night to report she had found her husband unresponsive.

She claimed that she had served him a Moscow mule in bed and then went to sleep with one of her young children who was having a night terror.

An autopsy report later discovered that Mr. Richins died from an overdose of fentanyl.

Court documents also revealed that Richins had texted a person who had previously been arrested on drug charges asking for prescription pain medication for an investor with a back injury, between December 2021 and February 2022.

She then received hydrocodone pills before asking specifically for fentanyl.

Three days after Kouri Richins allegedly got the drugs, she and her husband had a Valentine’s Day dinner, after which he fell ill.

A court document also stated that “Eric told a friend that he thought his wife was trying to poison him.”

She obtained more fentanyl after this incident and called the police late one night in March 2022, saying her husband was “cold to the touch”.

Documents also claimed Mr. Richins changed his life insurance before his death.

A year after her husband’s death Ms Richins wrote a children’s book titled “Are You With Me?”. She said the purpose of the book was to help children cope with the death of a loved one.

She dedicated the book to Mr. Richins, whom she described as “my amazing husband and a wonderful father”.
