Kanye West was escorted out of the Sketchers office after unexpectedly arriving, as reported by Consequence.
On Wednesday, Kanye West reportedly required an escort to leave the Sketchers company office in Manhattan Beach after paying an unauthorized visit with a camera crew.
It’s unclear exactly what West hoped to accomplish with his trip, but it seems that he would want to meet with officials to discuss a possible collaboration between Sketchers and his Yeezy clothing and sneaker line. Adidas and Gap cut ties with West earlier this week in response to the rapper’s recent antisemitic remarks and other reprehensible actions.
Unsurprisingly, the Jewish family that owns and runs Sketchers has no interest in working with West. The spokesman for the firm further stated, “Skechers is not considering and has no intention of cooperating with West.” “We reject all forms of hate speech, including antisemitism, and we condemn his recent divisive remarks,” the statement reads. Once more, West entered the Skechers corporate offices without being invited or given notice.
As to why a camera crew was present? In a recent video, West was shown attempting to scare Adidas executives by showing them pornography. West has previously recorded himself during business meetings.
