Fulham moved to the 7th position in the Premier League after they whooped Leeds United, who dropped to the bottom three.
Leeds supporters came in their numbers to cheer on the home team. In the opening 20 minutes of the match, Leeds was in front, when Rodrigo nodded the opener following Jack Harrison’s blocked shot.
But the celebration was short-lived, as almost immediately, Mitrovic, who struggled during his last Premier League campaign headed home the equalizer from a beautiful corner.
It took a superb goal-line block from Marc Roca to stop Harrison Reed scoring the opener and a fine save from Illan Meslier to stop Andreas Pereira from making it 2-1 before the break.
In the final few minutes of the second half, after both teams have tried to create opportunities with their attacks, Decordova-Reid headed home Fulham’s second goal of the night from another cross into the penalty box.
Just before halftime, Willian who had been superb throughout the match tapped home an extra goal, to push his team to a reasonable position in the top ten of the Premier League.
This win marked Fulham side’s second successive win following Thursday’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa who destroyed Brentford in their game.
Leeds boss Jesse Marsch faces an uncertain future as his team finds themselves in the bottom three without a win in eight games, since their shocking victory against Chelsea.
Boos filled the ground at full-time and continued as Marsch took to the pitch to applaud the fans.
This was Fulham’s 5th win in the League, the same amount they managed in the entirety of their last top-flight campaign in 2020-21.
Newcastle also found their way into the top four of the Premier League, after a shocking win against Tottenham.
