Elon Musk announced the formation of a “content moderation council with vastly diverse opinions” on his first full day as Twitter’s owner.
Additionally, he claimed Twitter had reinstated Ye’s account, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, before he finalized the acquisition of the social media network.
“They did not consult with or inform me,” Musk says.
Ye’s account had been locked by the social media site earlier this month as a result of a tweet that was antisemitic and threatened Jews.
Until the council meets, according to Musk, the business won’t make any significant decisions about content or restoring suspended accounts.
