Denver authorities announce arrest of juvenile suspect in the brutal killing of a 14-year-old boy

Denver local police announced the arrest of a juvenile who is suspected to have been involved in the brutal killing of a 14-year-old boy, Josiaz “JoJo” Aragon in August.

The juvenile suspect is being held for investigation of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, tampering with physical evidence in a felony crime, and possession of a handgun by a juvenile, according to Denver police.

The 14-year-old youngster was found dead near a baseball field at the rec center at 9200 West Saratoga Place, in southwest Denver, around 1:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8.

Medical exams on the body showed that JoJo died of a gunshot wound, multiple stab wounds, and blunt force injuries.

In a new release, police thanked the members of the community who shared tips that led investigators to the suspect.

The police obtained an arrest warrant Friday, and officers located and took the suspect into custody Friday night in southwest Denver.

Of course, fingerprints, DNAs, and all the forensics would be employed to bring this case the justice it deserves and bring closure to the family members of the victim.

No 14-year-old youngster should die the way, Jojo died. Since the suspect is a juvenile, the case may be handled according to the State Juvenile Law and Justice.
