The earthquakes which were reported to be 4.4 and 3.9 hit Santa Rosa, which is a little over 50 miles north of San Francisco, with the first being the 4.4 around 6:39pm. The epicenter was 4.66 miles underground.
Some residents reported that the Earthquake knocked some paintings off their walls, while the fire department of Santa Rosa reported gas leaks, the odor of gas, fire alarms going off, and stuck elevators Tuesday evening. Centered in Santa Rosa, the quakes fell as far north as Mendocino County and as far south as Santa Clara County.
No major casualty has been reported yet and the Santa Rosa legal authorities are doing everything to help its residents.
