Christian Ronaldo took a nasty blow to the face, after a clash with the Czech Republic goalkeeper, Tomas Vaclik while they were trying to hustle for the ball.

Ronaldo and his Portugal teammates traveled to the Czech for their Nations League group stage match, as they have been on fire since the beginning of the competition.

The Portuguese striker who is known for his superb header was trying to nod in a cross when he collided with the first of the goalkeeper, leaving him with a bloody face.

Portugal traveled to their hosts’ country to play their penultimate game of the Nations League group stage knowing that only a win will put them in contention to rival Spain in the charge to win League A Group 2.

Ronald got his injury within the first 15 minutes of the match and Portugal’s medical team has to rush to the girls to administer treatment and check if he suffered a concussion.

At the end of the first 45 minutes, Portugal was sitting pretty against their opponents, with two goals to nothing, thanks to the Manchester United pair of Bruno Fernandez and Diogo Dalot.

Ronald could not get a goal in the first half but was resilient. After his injury, the Manchester United striker simply carried on after the wound across his nose was covered with a plaster.

Dalot and Fernandez had great chemistry in the match and the duo combined once more in the early minutes of the second half to put Portugal three goals up and give Diogo Dalot his second of the game.

Christiano scored the last goal for his team, and the Seleccao’s evening ended with them occupying the top spot in their Nations League group following Spain’s defeat to Switzerland.
