In their exhibition boxing bout on Sunday in Japan, legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather defeated mixed martial artist Mikuru Asakura via technical knockout in the second round.

At the conclusion of the second round in front of a crowded crowd at the Saitama Super Arena, the 45-year-old Mayweather knocked Asakura to the ground with a straight right.

Manny Pacquiao, a longtime foe of Mayweather from the Philippines, attended the Rizin Fighting Federation event.

“We were able to give the fans excitement tonight,” Mayweather said, calling Asakura a tough competitor. “I want to thank you guys for another unbelievable experience. Thanks for having me. I’ll be back.”

The 30-year-old Asakura said, “(Mayweather’s) reaction speed was unbelievable. His technique is out of this world.”

At the same Japanese location on December 31, 2018, Mayweather defeated kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in the opening round of another exhibition fight.
