Newly promoted Premier League side Fulham came from behind to defeat their counterparts, Nottingham Forest in their home in a tough contest.
Nottingham Forest hosted their arch-rivals at home, hoping to get some points and remove themselves from the bottom three. Steve Cooper makes three changes to the side that started against Bournemouth two weeks ago. Boly made his debut for the club, with Freuler and Awoniyi also coming into the team. Worrall, Kouyate, and Lingard all dropped to the bench.
In the 11th minute, Taiwo Awoniyi put the hosts in front, when Gibbs-White crossed a corner, and Yates jumped high above Adarabioyo in the middle to help it on for Awoniyi who nodded it into the bottom corner.
Both teams had opportunities to score before halftime but no side to put the ball in the back of the net. In the 54th minute, Adarabioyo leveled the game for Fulham, from Willian’s cross. There was some pushing and shoving in the penalty box, but Adarabioyo ensured that he had free space to be able to score.
Three minutes later, João Palhinha put Fulham in front, firing a sublime shot past Henderson into the top corner.
In the 60th minute, Reed gives the visitors a comfortable lead, from De Cordova-Reid taking advantage of a disorganized Nottingham Forest team.
17 minutes later, O’Brien pulls one back for the team, as Forest tried to redeem what is left of their image. At the end of 90 minutes, Nottingham Forest 2 – Fulham 3.
