A 59-year-old woman named Debbie Collier, who was reported missing in Athens, Georgia has been found dead in the woods in Habersham Country. But before she died, she was able to transfer some money into her daughter’s account through Venmo.
The woman also sent a chilling message to her daughter which read:
“They are not going to let me go, love you. There is a key to the house in the blue flower pot by the door.”
Her daughter immediately called her after reading the message, but she did not pick up. The authorities also tried calling her, but the calls went straight to voicemail.
Debbie transferred the money and sent the text to her daughter on September 10, the next day, the police found her body in the woods in Habersham Country, leaving her poor daughter distraught.
They also found her abandoned rental car not far from the body. The police are investigating the case as a homicide. Debbie was last seen the day before she sent the text and transferred the money to her daughter’s account.
