Greg Norman, LIV Golf tour’s chief executive officer, claims that Tiger Woods declined a $700–$800 million offer to play in the LIV Golf series, which is sponsored by Saudi Arabia.

Former world No. 1 Norman was questioned by Tucker Carlson on Monday about if it was accurate that Woods had been promised $700-$800 million to play in the LIV series.

The Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, a sovereign wealth fund managed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has funded the LIV series and promised to provide $250 million in total prize money.

Woods and other players have, however, criticized the fact that players have abandoned golf’s conventional setup and accepted money from a nation with a deplorable human rights record.
