James Harden, a former star for the Houston Rockets, is back in town for his JH-Town Weekend. With his foundation, Harden organizes a number of charitable events each year. This year, he donated to Cuney Homes in the Third Ward.
The basketball court at Cuney Homes will be renovated, as disclosed by Harden’s charity, which also distributed 600 bags.
He was selected for eight consecutive NBA All-Star teams while playing in Houston, and was aslo selected for seven different All-NBA Teams, including six first-team choices. James Harden was acquired by the Brooklyn Nets in a four-team deal at the start of the 2020–21 NBA season.
He was selected for his ninth and tenth straight All-Star games while playing with the Nets. Harden received recognition as one of the league’s all-time great players in October 2021 when he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
