Overnight in Boston, there were seven shootings that required police assistance. At least 10 people were hurt.
The gunshots, according to authorities, took place in Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, Hyde Park, and the South End.
Just before 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, a shooting occurred on Mattapan’s Woodbole Avenue. Boston EMS says that one individual was taken from the scene to a local hospital. According to the police, the victim was a young boy.
Officers arrived at the site and noticed a car driving away. After initially failing to stop, the car eventually came to a stop on St. James Street, where police discovered that the adult male driver was also wounded by gunfire.
Police say they found a firearm inside the car.
