Geoffrey Owens is a very happy father. The 61-year-old actor, who portrayed Elvin Tibideaux, Sondra Huxtable’s husband on the 1980s sitcom, walked the red carpet with his son, Jordyn Owens, who portrays the character Trey in the Netflix series, “Uncoupled.”
The 23-year-old Montclair native, who played guard for the University of Massachusetts Lowell basketball team, is playing in his first major role in Uncoupled.
Jordyn seemed a little taken aback that Tisha Campbell and Marcia Gay Harden were in his debut job.
He also discovered a surprising talent for painting, which he started doing since he was bored during the pandemic. Even Jordyn was on the “Today” show to talk about his artwork.

Geoffrey added that he’s had numerous chats about the dangers of the acting business, adding that “we’ve worked together a lot.” Geoffrey has had a long career teaching Shakespeare and performing on stage since “The Cosby Show.”
It should come as no surprise that Jordyn also works as a model and was featured by Bruce Weber in the Netflix show Uncoupled.
