On Saturday, LeBron James made his triumphant comeback to the stage after his final Drew League appearance occurred in 2011 during the NBA lockout. Indeed, the wait was well worth it.

For the past 10 years, the game’s biggest star has shied away from the Drew League, which has frequently been used as a venue for NBA players to improve their abilities against tough opposition in the offseason.

In a thrilling victory opposite another outstanding athlete, DeMar DeRozan, James shone with 42 points and 16 rebounds.

James only made one of his two attempts at the line to give his team a two-point lead with seconds left in the game, but they were ultimately able to pull off the comeback victory despite trailing by six heading into the fourth quarter.

James put on a show for the enthusiastic audience in attendance, and there were a lot of highlights from his performance.

NBA legends other than James were also expected to make appearances at the Drew League on Saturday. The day’s first game was anticipated to feature Kyrie Irving as well. The Brooklyn Nets star wasn’t present even after the game ended.

According to reports, James has been pressuring the Russell Westbrook-exchanging Los Angeles Lakers to include Irving in the deal.

Even under the initial arrangement, James and Irving weren’t supposed to take part in the same game at the Drew League, which would have just served to fuel that fire.
