Trump Nominees For The Supreme Court Told Senate That Roe Is A Fixed Precedent, But Harris Claims She “Never Believed” Them

kamala-haris

Vice President Kamala Harris stated to CNN’s Dana Bash that she never thought that the previous President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominees, who she voted against in the Senate, would uphold the historic abortion law, in her first interview since Roe v. Wade was overturned on Friday.

“I never took them for real. I had no faith in them. Consequently, I voted against them “When Bash questioned Harris about whether she believed Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch intentionally misled the public and Congress during the confirmation process, the vice president responded, citing the two justices’ prior comments highlighting Roe v. Wade’s long-standing precedent.

Her remarks follow Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, a Republican, who recently stated publicly that she believes Kavanaugh misled her by assuring her that he would not overturn Roe v. Wade.

Harris said she was stunned by the decision as she was traveling on Air Force Two from Washington to Illinois on Friday to reveal the administration’s newest plan to enhance maternal health in the US.
