During the opening round of the 122nd U.S. Open in Brookline, Massachusetts, Rory McIlroy encountered some difficulty on the fifth hole at The Country Club.
Right outside the right lip of a fairway bunker, McIlroy’s tee-ball flew right and buried itself in dense rough. Standing in the bunker, McIlroy was compelled to take a swing at it. He was only attempting to swallow his medication and throw it back toward the fairway. However, he failed poorly and instead broke into a bunker in front of him.
