Prior to the formation of Silk Sonic, Mars and .Paak began their musical collaboration in 2017 with the former as the opening act of the European leg of Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic World Tour.

Mars was born in October 8, 1985. And his real name is Peter Gene Hernandez.

He has released three albums and amassed countless accolades including four Guiness World Records.

Anderson .Paak on the other hand is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and drummer like Bruno Mars.

The 36-year-old .Paak has four personal albums and two collaborative albums under his belt. He has also won several award including three BET and five Grammy awards.
