An explosion occurred near a primary school at Sabon Gari axis of Kano state, killing and injuring many.
However, there are varying reason as to the cause of the explosion which left 4 dead (3 men and a woman) and others injured.
While it is been said that the blast was from a detonated bomb, others say it was from a gas accident from a nearby building,- a pet store.
Reports say a man was seen walking by the road before the explosion occurred. It is unclear if he was only a passerby or a suicide bomber.
The state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, has said the root cause of the explosion, as well as the casualties and damages will be properly investigated and reported.
