The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its ongoing strike by an additional 12 weeks on Monday.
The development was made known through a statement signed by the president of the educational union body identified Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke who stated that the extension was to give the federal government enough time to attend to all its needs.
Osodeke also revealed that ASUU is requesting the release of revitalization funds for universities, renegotiation, and implementation of the 2009 FGN/ASUU treaty.
