The Lagos state chapter of the Nigerian police has arrested a man identified as Ifeanyi Njoku for allegedly killing his girlfriend identified as Precious Okeke for ritual purposes.
It was reported the suspect was caught after the resident’s neighbors perceived the odd smell coming out from his house and they reported it to the estate management who in return informed the police.
During the investigation, the suspect disclosed that he was instructed by a native doctor to kill and sleep with his girlfriend’s corpse for seven days but unfortunately he was nabbed on the sixth day of the ritual process.
The incident was confirmed by the state police spokesperson identified as Benjamin Hundeyin who stated that the “two suspects, Ifeanyi Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor, 36, have been arrested. They have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further investigation. Njoku was the one that rented the apartment.”
