Lexi Reed: Here’s why the Instagram Influencer was Rushed to the ICU

Lexi Reed is finally home after being hospitalized. The cause of her illness hasn’t been disclosed, but it was definitely life-threatening, according to her husband.

The 31-year-old shot to stardom in 2016 while documenting her weight-loss journey. She teamed up with her husband and lost almost 300 pounds, while he lost about 90 pounds.

While she was hospitalized, her husband took to Instagram and posted an image of her unconscious with the caption: “Sorry for the late update but I (@discoveringdanny and family) have been focusing on getting Lexi back to health.”

“A few weeks ago Lexi kept getting sick and couldn’t keep any food down. She then started acting differently so I took her to the hospital where they admitted her into ICU, placed her on a medically induced coma, on a ventilator, and me that her organs started failing.”

“They also told me if I had waited it’s possible she could have died. She is currently in dialysis, can’t walk, and working on recovery. Sadly we do not have insurance. Thank you all for your prayers they all mean so much to us and this will be a long hard battle part of her story but she is strong!”

Their fans reacted and poured in love and support for their favorite fitness couple. In response to the part of the post where he said they didn’t have insurance, some fans suggested he start a GoFundMe me. It seems a GoFundMe was set up 32 minutes ago for that purpose.

Update on Lexi Reed’s Health

Two hours ago, Lexi made a post on Instagram with the caption: “I’m back home and ready to overcome the next part of this part of my story.”

“Happy to be alive when it wasn’t seeming to be not possible and I was unresponsive in the trauma room. Thank you to everyone for the love I’m already seeing today from the past month. Love you guys- Lexi ❤”

Lexi Reed is not the only celebrity who has been hospitalized in recent times, Heather McDonald was also hospitalized after she slumped on stage and fractured her skull.
