Temmie Ovwasa popularly known as YBNL Princess is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and artist.

She signed a record deal with YBNL Nation in August 2015 but left the label in 2020 after having a disagreement with the label owner Olamide.

Ovwasa is openly lesbian and in 2020, she dropped the first openly gay album in Nigeria.

Temmie Ovwasa was born on the 29th of November, 1996 to a Yoruba mother (Osun State) and a Niger Delta father. She grew up in the Middle Belt region, living in both Ilorin in Kwara State and Lokoja in Kwara State.

After completing her primary and secondary education, she gained admission to study Medical Anatomy at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria.

She started singing at an early age of eight when she wrote her first song and was part of her church choir due to her musical talent, her mother gifted her first guitar while she was 12.

Temmie’s first song under YBNL titled ‘Jabole’ was very amazing and has so far, garnered more than 50,000 views on YouTube.

She also has other songs ‘Bamidele’, ‘Holy Water’, and ‘Afefe’. She released her debut album, ‘E Be Like Say Dem Swear for Me!’ in 2020.

She shot into the limelight in 2015 when Olamide reached out to her via Instagram and was then signed to YBNL record label which earned her the name YBNL princess and left YBNL after a disagreement with the label boss.

Temmie Ovwasa came out openly as a lesbian, declaring her support for the LGBT community and hate for heterosexuals.
