Ex-interim coach of the Super Eagles, Augustine Eguaoven has admitted the blame for Nigeria’s loss to Tunisia in the ongoing AFCON 2021, a round of 16.

According to Eguaoven, he stated that he was wrong to have abandoned winger, Chidera Ejuke, out of the team that played Tunisia in the game on Sunday but instead he chose Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze whom he felt are great players too.

According to Eguaoven partly words, he said;

“I think it was a mistake on my part not dressing Chidera Ejuke for the game against Tunisia,” Eguavoen said after the game.

“I take responsibility for whatever happened at the round of 16.”
